Lovely 1856-C Half Eagle, AU58

1856-C $5 AU58 NGC. Variety 24-J, the only known die pair for the date. This boldly define piece has deep orange-gold color with satiny luster. A few surface marks on each side include a tiny reverse rim nick at 12 o'clock, and they are all consistent with the grade. The reverse is rotated about 45 degrees clockwise.(Registry values: P4)
