1857-C $5 AU58 NGC. Variety 25-J. The borders glimmer with bright luster, as do the major devices. The strike is crisp despite minor merging of plumage on the eagle's neck. The honey-gold surfaces are refreshingly unabraded, although the right shield border has a concealed mark.(Registry values: P3)
