Description

1858 Five Dollar, AU58
Low-Mintage No Motto Issue

1858 $5 AU58 PCGS. From a small mintage of 15,136 pieces, the 1858 Liberty half eagle is definitely a better date in the series. The present coin is sharply struck and has only the slightest friction on the high points. Luster brightens the design elements, and only minor, scattered signs of contact are evident. The overall presentation is most attractive. Population: 4 in 58, 13 finer (10/24).(Registry values: P5)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25V7, PCGS# 8276, Greysheet# 8904)

Weight: 8.36 grams

Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
