1860-C Half Eagle, AU55
Low-Mintage Charlotte Issue

1860-C $5 AU55 PCGS. This scarce Charlotte half eagle date has the third-lowest mintage of the series, with just 14,813 coins originally produced. This piece is better-than-average for the issue, with pleasing lime-gold coloration and an attractive overall appearance. Both sides show wispy field hairlines and a few minor abrasions. The reverse is ill-defined, having been struck from an improperly annealed die. Population: 16 in 55, 30 finer (11/15).
