1860-D Medium D Half Eagle
Uncirculated Sharpness
1860-D $5 Medium D -- Scratches -- NGC Details. Unc. Variety
46-GG (formerly 38-FF). Faded hair-thin marks are noted near
Liberty's nose and the left (facing) wing. A few drops of lacquer
are noted near the D in UNITED. Nonetheless, this low mintage
almond-gold Dahlonega half eagle is devoid of wear and offers
substantial luster. The strike is above average, though the
lovelock and eagle's neck are incompletely impressed.(Registry values: P4)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25VH, PCGS# 8286, Greysheet# 9034)
