PCGS 1866-S Motto AU 50. *****NOTE: This is a MOTTO coin with an insert that reads NO MOTTO.***** Although the mintages are quite different, the overall scarcity of the S-mint No Motto and Motto coins are similar, but there are a few more Motto pieces extant in high grade. This is a well struck coin with light reddish color and no offending marks on either side. Very scarce in strict AU, only 2 coins have been certified higher, an AU 55 and an AU 58. Trends $4,750 in XF 40 but unlisted any finer.
