Desirable 1870-CC Half Eagle XF401870-CC $5 XF40 PCGS. Winter 1-A. The 1870-CC is an extremely challenging issue from an original mintage of only 7,675 pieces, and enjoys added popularity as the premier date from the Carson City facility. The example offered here is at least on par with the average survivor, of which there are perhaps 50-60 pieces known, being well detailed with relatively unabraded yellow-gold surfaces.
