1871-S $5 AU55 PCGS. The low mintage 1871-S half eagle is scarce in AU condition, and rare in Mint State. This is a pleasing Choice AU example with khaki-gold color and reddish peripheral accents. Both sides of the coin display light highpoint wear, numerous small to moderate marks, and considerable luster for the grade. Population: 4 in 55, 4 finer (8/07). (Registry values: P3)
