Delightful AU58 1871-S Five Dollar
1871-S $5 AU58 NGC. With just five Mint State coins in the combined certified population (3/10), this near-Mint survivor is of great importance to the Western gold collector. Richly lustrous yellow-orange surfaces show just a trace of friction across the high points. A small patch of alloy is noted between star 4 and the rim.(Registry values: P3)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25WE, PCGS# 8324, GSID# 9052)
