Appealing 1872 Half Eagle
1872 $5 AU 58 NGC. A very rare item in all grades, which is not too surprising with an original mintage of only 1,660 business strikes. Most surviving examples are VF or XF with coins in choice condition being extremely elusive. A bright, yellow-gold piece with reflective surfaces and great eye appeal.From the Tyler Dillon of Wellesley Collection.
