Underrated 1872-S Five Dollar, Choice AU
1872-S $5 AU55 NGC. Like many of its San Francisco half eagle fellows, the 1872-S is a challenging but underrated issue in better circulated grades. This Choice AU coin remains immensely lustrous despite a measure of wear over the yellow-gold high points. Lightly abraded but decidedly attractive.
