    1873 $5 Closed 3 MS63 PCGS. Struck early in the year, this 1873 half eagle is a lovely example of a variety seldom seen in any Mint State grade. Both sides are brilliant with frosty yellow luster and hints of powder blue toning. The surfaces of this Select specimen have a few grade-consistent marks, none of consequence. Population: 11 in 63, 8 finer (10/12).(Registry values: P3)
