1873 $5 Open 3 MS64 PCGS. Satiny with a refreshingly smooth portrait and strong definition for this often substandard issue. The 1873 Open 3 is an issue that is not particularly difficult to locate in XF and AU condition, but the supply of Uncirculated pieces dwindles rapidly to the point where Choice and better survivors probably number fewer than 10 coins.
