Description
1873-CC Half Eagle, AU Details
Elusive Carson City Issue
1873-CC $5 -- Improperly Cleaned -- NGC Details. AU. Variety
2-B. The 1873-CC half eagle had a meager mintage of only 7,416
pieces, and the vast majority circulated extensively. Extant pieces
are rare in all grades and primarily reside in the lower end of the
grade scale, with the few surviving AU or finer representatives
being prohibitively rare. This piece is lightly cleaned, with even
yellow-gold color overall. High-point wear is minimal, and the
surfaces are free of any major detractions. A still-pleasing
example of this sought-after Carson City issue.(Registry values: P3)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25WL, PCGS# 8331, Greysheet# 9055)
