Description

Rare Toned XF 1874-CC Five

1874-CC $5 XF40 PCGS. The rich orange-gold surfaces are augmented by hints of steel-blue. Selected bluntness of strike on Liberty's hair should not be confused with inappropriate wear, since a band of luster illuminates both borders. One faded thin mark is noted on the field beneath the right (facing) wing. This undipped example is certain to be the subject of enthusiastic bidding. Housed in a green label holder. Population: 10 in 40, 41 finer (8/10).(Registry values: P3)
