1874-S $5 AU50 PCGS. CAC. Canary-gold luster fills the margins and plumage of this much better date San Francisco half eagle. The open fields are olive-gold. Relatively unabraded aside from a brief slender mark near star 2. Neither PCGS nor NGC have certified any examples as Mint State. Population: 7 in 50, 10 finer (2/10).(Registry values: P3)
