Low Mintage AU 1875-CC Five

1875-CC $5 AU50 PCGS. Variety 1-B. Rusty Goe notes that as double eagle Carson City production increased, the other gold denominations were struck in lesser quantity. A minimally abraded wheat-gold example with moderate blending of detail on Liberty's curls. Population: 7 in 50, 12 finer (2/13).
Ex: Sacramento ANA Signature (Heritage, 3/2011), lot 4767, which realized $8,337.50.(Registry values: P3)
