1875-CC $5 VF30 NGC. Variety 2-B. Three different die varieties are confirmed despite a scant mintage of 11,828 pieces. This middle-grade Carson City five shows evidence of a soft strike on the curls, fletchings, and eagle's neck. The butter-gold surfaces are lightly abraded and mildly glossy. The left obverse field displays glimpses of powder-blue patina. Housed in a prior generation holder.(Registry values: P3)
