1875-CC $5 XF45 PCGS. Variety 2-C. From a modest mintage of 11,828 pieces, the 1875-CC Liberty half eagle is an elusive issue, with a surviving population of just 125 to 150 examples in all grades. This attractive Choice XF specimen exhibits only light wear on the design elements and most interior detail remains intact. The lightly abraded orange-gold surfaces retain traces of original mint luster in sheltered areas. Population: 16 in 45 (1 in 45+), 21 finer (10/23).(Registry values: P3)
