Rare 1875-CC Five Dollar, XF45
1875-CC $5 XF45 PCGS. As its mintage of 11,828 pieces might suggest, the 1875-CC half eagle is a very rare issue. This Choice XF specimen shows splashes of rose on its yellow-gold surfaces, and the design elements exhibit slightly better definition than usually encountered, save for strike the typical strike weakness on portions of the eagle and adjacent features.
