1877-CC $5 Genuine PCGS. The PCGS number ending in .98 suggests Damage as the reason, or perhaps one of the reasons, that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. In our opinion, this coin the details of an AU specimen that is damaged and has been tooled and polished. A small damaged area above the date and through the neck truncation has apparently been repaired and the surfaces touched up and polished, leaving some areas of unusual, flat ochre-yellow color. From a low mintage of 8,680 pieces.
