1878-S $5 MS63 PCGS. While we have handled a couple dozen '78-S fives over the past several years, the number of Mint State pieces can be counted on one hand. This Select example is well struck in all areas, the bright surfaces are remarkably lustrous for the grade. The coin has an even reddish cast overall, and one curving mark is mentioned in the right obverse field. Population: 5 in 63, 1 finer (10/03).(#8347)
