1879 $5 MS64 PCGS. This is a significant opportunity for the advanced Liberty half eagle collector, as Choice and Gem examples of the date are almost never encountered. This example is sharply struck with fully brilliant gold surfaces and only a few minor abrasions, consistent with the grade. The reverse is well preserved.
