Scarce at the Gem Level

1880 $5 MS65+ NGC. Deep, creamy Mint luster oozes over even, yellow-gold surfaces. Strike is immaculate, with scarcely any weakness to be found. Only slight abrasions can be found in front of the portrait, as is expected by the Gem grade. While this date's large mintage makes it more plentiful than prior years, it becomes quite scarce at the Gem level.(Registry values: P2)
