1881-CC $5 AU50 PCGS. CAC. Variety 1-A. Ex: The Fairmont
Collection. From a small mintage of 13,886 pieces, the 1881-CC
Liberty half eagle is an elusive issue in all grades today. This
impressive AU50 specimen exhibits only light wear on the design
elements and the lightly abrade orange-Gold surfaces retain a few
traces of original mint luster in sheltered areas. The high quality
within the grade is confirmed by CAC. Population: 9 in 50, 45
