Description

1881-CC LIBERTY Half Eagle, AU50
Elusive Branch Mint Issue

1881-CC $5 AU50 PCGS. CAC. Variety 1-A. Ex: The Fairmont Collection. From a small mintage of 13,886 pieces, the 1881-CC Liberty half eagle is an elusive issue in all grades today. This impressive AU50 specimen exhibits only light wear on the design elements and the lightly abrade orange-Gold surfaces retain a few traces of original mint luster in sheltered areas. The high quality within the grade is confirmed by CAC. Population: 9 in 50, 45 finer. CAC: 2 in 50, 18 finer (1/23).
