Rare Gem 1881-S Five Dollar
1881-S $5 MS65 NGC. This Gem 1881-S half eagle makes a splendid candidate for a type or date set. Despite the generous mintage approaching 1 million coins, the issue is one that is rare at the MS65 level. The present coin offers pristine surfaces with antique-gold coloration, excellent luster, and a bold strike.
