Description
Outstanding Gem 1882 Five Dollar Gold
1882 $5 MS65 PCGS. This vibrant exemplar, tied for the finest certified by PCGS (8/07), should appeal to even the most discerning of date collectors. Peach and straw accents enliven the yellow-gold surfaces, as does the coin's swirling luster. A handful of pinpoint marks lie scattered across the surfaces, but the crisply detailed portrait is well-preserved overall, and the minuscule flaws are entirely consistent with the grade.(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25XG, PCGS# 8358, GSID# 8929)
