1882-CC $5 MS61 NGC. Variety 1-A. From a substantial mintage of 82,817 pieces, the 1882-CC half eagle is a reasonably available issue in most grades, and a popular choice with branch mint type collectors. However, the 1882-CC is elusive at the MS61 grade level. This attractive Mint State specimen is sharply detailed and lightly marked, with lustrous orange-gold surfaces.
