Very Scarce in Mint State

1883-CC $5 AU58 PCGS. CAC. Variety 1-A. Ex: Nevada Collection. Shimmering light honey-gold surfaces provide this near-Mint specimen of the only known variety with immediate eye appeal. The scattered marks and grazes present are minuscule and are not distracting on this lightly circulated piece. A small area of as-made struck-in grease appears in the left reverse field. Population: 16 in 58, 3 finer (2/14).(Registry values: P3)
