Description

Desirable 1883-S Half Eagle, MS63

1883-S $5 MS63 PCGS. Light pink toning highlights the frosty yellow-gold luster of this important rarity. Only 83,200 coins were minted, and the typical example, when one is found at all, grades in the middle AU range. PCGS has only certified 16 of these in MS63, and the present sale has two of them! We are delighted to make such an unusual presentation, giving two collectors the opportunity to acquire an exceptional example for their collection. Population: 16 in 63, 3 finer (11/09).(Registry values: P3)
