Choice 1884 Liberty Half Eagle
Only One Piece Finer at NGC
1884 $5 MS64 NGC. CAC. From a mintage of 191,030 pieces, the
1884 Liberty Head half eagle is seldom encountered in high grade,
and examples in Choice condition are very rare. The present coin is
a sharply detailed near-Gem, with lustrous yellow-gold surfaces.
The lightly abraded fields also display highlights of rose color.
