Gem 1884-S Half Eagle
Condition Rarity

1884-S $5 MS65 NGC. Apricot-tinged yellow-gold surfaces are bright with diffuse reflectivity. Well-defined devices are largely clean, and the largest field flaws are a couple of reed marks to the left of Liberty's profile. This San Francisco issue does not have an especially high mintage at 177,000 pieces, and this is one of just two NGC coins tied for numerically finest in the combined certified population (3/12).(Registry values: P3)
