Vivid Color, Strong Eye Appeal
1890-CC $5 MS64 NGC. Variety 1-A. The 1890-CC Liberty half
eagle is rare in Choice condition, and virtually unobtainable any
finer. This attractive MS64 example is sharply detailed on the
obverse and shows just a touch of softness on the eagle's feathers
on the reverse. The vivid orange and greenish-gold surfaces show a
few rose and lilac highlights, with vibrant mint luster. Census: 24
in 64, 4 finer (3/12).(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25Y3, PCGS# 8376, Greysheet# 9085)
