Gorgeous MS63+ 1891-CC Half Eagle

1891-CC $5 MS63+ NGC. CAC. The most available of the Carson City Mint half eagles from late in the series, the 1891-CC was produced to the extent of 208,000 pieces, although the average certified survivor is about AU58. This Select coin offers gorgeous orange-gold surfaces with good luster and only a few tiny abrasions that preclude an even finer grade. The Plus kicker from NGC is well-deserved on this sharply struck and pleasing example. Census: 1 in 63+, 69 finer (8/10).(Registry values: P1)
