Description
Strongly Impressed 1892 Gem Half Eagle
1892 $5 MS65 PCGS. The 1892 half eagle is relatively easy to locate through near-Gem. Gems and Premium Gems are considerably more difficult, and higher-grade specimens are elusive. Blushes of mint-green and tan visit the peach-gold lustrous surfaces of the present MS65 coin and a well executed strike leaves strong impressions on the design elements. A few grade-consistent marks do not disturb. Population: 26 in 65, 24 finer (8/09).(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25Y6, PCGS# 8379, GSID# 8938)
