Sharply Struck 1893-CC Half Eagle
MS61 Prooflike
1893-CC $5 MS61 Prooflike NGC. The well-mirrored surfaces on
each side of this yellow-gold Mint State piece are well-deserving
of the Prooflike appellation. Only minor field chatter, rather than
mentionable contact, seems to preclude an even finer grade. This
specimen is extremely well-struck but just shy of full. From a
production of 60,000 pieces. Census: 1 in 61 Prooflike, 1 finer
