Description

1893-CC Five Dollar, Low-Mintage MS62

1893-CC $5 MS62 NGC. Variety 1-A. Just 60,000 half eagles were produced in the final year of coinage at the Carson City Mint. This is a bright, flaxen-gold example with flashy mint luster and appealing surfaces. In addition to the abundant luster, perhaps the most compelling characteristic of this coin is the meticulous strike that delivers excellent details from the central devices to the denticles.
