Description

Pleasing MS63 1893-CC Five Dollar
Final Year Carson City Issue

1893-CC $5 MS63 PCGS. The 1893-CC is one of the more commonly seen CC half eagles and it is also one of the more available Carson City fives in mint condition. That still makes it a very scarce and pricey coin in MS63 condition, however. This is a sharply defined example that has smooth, cartwheel luster and no abrasions that are readily apparent to the unaided eye. Population: 5 in 63, 4 finer (10/08).(Registry values: P2)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25YB, PCGS# 8384, Greysheet# 9090)

Weight: 8.36 grams

Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper

Note for clients in the European Union: This lot is considered by the European Union to be “investment gold”. We believe that it meets the criteria established in Article 344(1), point (2) of Council Directive 2006/112/EC and thus should be exempt from import VAT regardless of the selling price. Any questions or concerns about VAT should be addressed to your accountant or local tax authority.
