Description
1893-CC Five Dollar, MS63
Rich Luster and a Bold Strike
1893-CC $5 MS63 PCGS. Variety 1-A. The 1893-CC half eagle,
struck in the quantity of 60,000 pieces, is popular as the last
CC-mint issue of the denomination. The present Select Mint State
example will be difficult to better. Generous luster runs over the
orange-gold surfaces, which show only a few minor field ticks,
while Liberty's profile is relatively unmarked. The strike is
excellent throughout. Population: 15 in 63, 7 finer (11/15).Ex: Houston Signature (Heritage, 11/2012), lot 5014.(Registry values: P2)
