Description

Appealing 1893-O Select Five Dollar

1893-O $5 MS63 NGC. The 1893-O half eagle is scarce in all grades. It is usually encountered in the grade range XF to MS62. The yellow-gold surfaces of this MS63 specimen exhibit sharply struck design elements, save for the usual minor softness in portions of Liberty's hair and the arrow feathers. A few scattered marks preclude a finer numerical grade; nevertheless, this piece displays a high eye appeal factor. Census: 10 in 63, 2 finer (8/09).(Registry values: P3)
