Gem Mint State 1894 Half Eagle Rarity
1894 $5 MS65 NGC. Like so many of the Liberty Half Eagles, this issue is a condition rarity and is almost unheard of in Gem condition. In fact, NGC has only graded ten examples of the date as MS65 or finer, including a single finer MS66 grade coin. Population: 9 in 65, 1 finer (5/05).(#8387) (Registry values: P3)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25YE, PCGS# 8387, Greysheet# 8940)
