Description
Premium Gem 1897 Half Eagle
Single Finest Certified at PCGS
1897 $5 MS66 PCGS. CAC. An absolutely magnificent Premium
Gem specimen of this popular 19th century type coin, this 1897 half
eagle is among the finest known examples of the date. This is the
single finest example certified by PCGS, while NGC has graded only
eight coins in MS66, with none finer (8/10). The rich yellow-gold
surfaces are enhanced by subtle hints of rose. The strike is
razor-sharp throughout, and the mint luster is vibrant. Eye appeal
is overwhelming.(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25YM, PCGS# 8394, GSID# 8943)
