1899-S $5 MS65 NGC. The 1899-S half eagle is a superbly well-produced type coin as a rule, and the late-19th century date and S mintmark certainly add to its appeal. This Gem specimen is no exception, with crisply struck, richly lustrous surfaces and orange-gold coloration.
