1899-S $5 MS65 NGC. A beautifully preserved Gem example of this conditionally rare San Francisco issue, showing frosty yellow-gold luster and only a few insignificant abrasions in the left obverse field. The central reverse is sharp, although the hair curls around Liberty's face on the obverse are incomplete. Census: 17 in 65 (1 in 65 ★ ), 5 finer (11/17).(Registry values: P2)
