Description

1901-S Five Dollar Liberty, MS65+
Exceptionally Sharp and Lustrous

1901-S $5 MS65+ CACG. Although the 1901-S Liberty half eagle is relatively plentiful as a whole through MS65, Gems with CAC endorsement are scarce, and such coins housed in CACG slabs are, as yet, few in number. CACG has thus far slabbed only five pieces in MS65, plus three in MS65+, and two finer in MS66 (8/25). Larger numbers can be found in PCGS and NGC holders for this type coin issue. This current example displays frosty peach-gold and pale orange hues with an absolutely full strike throughout. No distracting abrasions deny the eye appeal of this outstanding type coin.(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25YX, PCGS# 8404, Greysheet# 9102)
