PCGS 1901-S MS 66. The technical grade of this coin is certainly solid, but this piece possesses a charm that goes far beyond technical grade. The surfaces are smooth and lustrous, virtually unmarked by post-striking impairments, and both sides show a variegated olive-green and reddish-golden patina that adds an extra dimension of eye appeal to this lovely, high grade half eagle. Population: 8 in 66, 1 finer.
