Description
Flashy and Immaculate MS66 1903-S $5, Tied for Finest Graded by PCGS
1903-S $5 MS66 PCGS. Although the 1903-S is not a better date among Liberty Half Eagles, the vast majority of survivors are bagmarked due to decades of indifferent storage and handling. But this lustrous and bright Gem has magnificently preserved surfaces, as if it was set aside from the day that it was minted. Well struck aside from a couple of stars. A miniscule planchet flaw (as made) in the field below the chin of Liberty is mentioned only for pedigree purposes. Weight: 8.36 grams
