Rare Issue in Mint State

1904-S $5 MS63 PCGS. CAC. The mintage of Liberty half eagles was drastically reduced at the San Francisco Mint in 1904, with only 97,000 pieces struck. The issue is usually seen in circulated grades today, and examples in MS63 condition are quite rare. This sharply detailed Select specimen displays vibrant mint luster over light orange-gold surfaces, with only minor signs of contact. Population: 10 in 63, 9 finer (4/12).(Registry values: N2998)
