Description
Finest Graded 1905-S MS 67 Half Eagle
1905-S MS 67 NGC. Ex: Dawson. A scarcer branch mint issue that is most typically found in average to high-end AU grades, with the much smaller quantity of mint states pieces most often seen in the MS 61 to MS 63 range. In recent years a couple dozen nicer uncirculated examples have become available, of which this coin is easily the cream of the crop. It possesses all the qualities one looks for in a superb gold coin...great color, a bold strike, shimmering luster, and virtually no blemishes of any kind. We are betting this spectacular half eagle and the '05-S graded MS 67 by PCGS are one in the same. Population: 1 in 67, none finer (7/98).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25Z7, PCGS# 8412, Greysheet# 9106)
Weight: 8.36 grams
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
