Attractive 1908 Liberty Head Half Eagle, Gem Mint State

1908 $5 MS65 PCGS. An appealing example of the final Liberty Head half eagle. Bright yellow patina show accents of orange in the fields, along with a few deep red toning spots. The strike is nearly full, and the captivating luster is minimally affected by a number of minuscule abrasions. Just 32 pieces have been certified finer by PCGS (7/08). (Registry values: N2998)
